New to yoga
What class should I start with?
If you are brand new to yoga, we recommend starting with our Beginners classes. Our Yin, Slow Flow and Hatha classes are a good starting point for beginners also.
For classes where we don’t offer a specific beginners level eg Yin, you can join our open level classes straight away, please just let your teacher know that you’re new.
I have never done yoga before, can I go to a group class or should I do a private session first?
You can definitely join our group classes, our experienced teachers and small class sizes are there for you to get the right amount of attention, to help you gain confidence and develop your practice. You will be surprised how just after a few classes, you will quickly feel at ease. We do however offer private sessions, just give us a call for more information.
How do I sign up for the class?
We’ve made booking online simple and easy! Book your classes online HERE or download the MindBody App free on the APP STORE or GOOGLE PLAY and search for Urban Souls.
How early should I arrive?
We recommend arriving 10 to 15 minutes before class to check in at reception, pick your spot, talk with the teacher about any injuries or concerns you may have and prepare yourself for practice.
Please note that the front door will be locked during the class to ensure the safety and security of your belongings.
I’m late for my class, can I still go in?
Out of respect, and to avoid injury, we start classes on time and allow students to enter up to 5 minutes late. We are firm about this policy, as the class should be a calm environment, where students are free from distraction, any disruptions can disturb both the teacher and the student.
What should I bring?
We provide you with everything you need; including yoga mats, blocks, bolsters, straps and all the necessary yoga props. Please feel free to bring your own yoga mat and yoga towel if you’d prefer.
What should I wear?
For our “Move” yoga styles it’s best to wear something comfortable and that allows mobility. You will most likely sweat, so wear something breathable and moisture-wicking. Yin and Hatha yoga are more calm, so feel free to wear something comfortable that allows movement and ease for long holds. For all classes we recommend gym tights, leggings or shorts and either a t-shirt or sports top.
Help us to keep the studio beautiful and clean, at the end of your class, please give your mat a quick wipe down with the sprays provided.
Please remove your shoes
As part of our effort to keep the studio clean, please remove your shoes and leave them at space provided in reception.
Please turn off your phone during the class
Are the classes heated?
Yes, the yoga room is heated to a comfortable 25°C – 27°C degrees to keep the room ‘warm’ without being ‘too hot’. Our fresh air ventilation system ensures the studio is constantly replenished with new clean air.
If you ever feel too hot, please let your teacher know.
Do you offer private classes or corporate sessions?

Do you have showers?
Yes, there is one bathroom for men, and one for women.
What facilities do you offer?
We provide mats, towels, filtered water and changing rooms with showers on site.
Is there an age limit?
Yes, all students should be over 18.
What is your cancellation policy?
In order to give everyone a chance to flow, we require notice of cancellation 12 hours or more prior to the class start time in order to unreserve your spot and return it to your account. Otherwise a class will be deducted from your pack. For more information please visit our polices page HERE.
